I want to wish all of my wonderful family and friends a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter and awesome food! I am just about to head into the kitchen and whip up two pecan pies and mashed potatoes. This year Thanksgiving will be at my mom’s house. We are having turkey (odd isn’t it!), yams, green beans, potatoes, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and blueberry. Sounds like quite a feast. After being stuffed to the gills me and hubby will waddle to our car and go home for a bit of rest before the early AM shopping expedition.
Where are the good deals this year? Have you all seen any Black Friday deals that would pull you out of bed at 2:00am to rush to the store? So far after viewing ads from Kohl’s, Sears, Staples and Target. I have not seen anything that actually made me go WOW I have to get up for that one. I have seen a few deals that looked okay but nothing too amazing. I still have gifts to buy and also some new Christmas lights for the house. Decorating is going to start soon!! I can’t wait.
Our neighborhood goes all out for the holidays. Nearly every home is decorated with thousands of lights, windblown lawn ornaments and even musical light and water shows! It truly does turn into a winter wonderland. I cant wait to see what everyone does this year! Do you go all out with decorating for the holidays? What is your favorite decoration? Do you have a color palate that you stick to for your tree/decorations? I decorate my main tree with silver, blue and crystal ornaments and clear lights.
While you are stressing out about tomorrows festivities and what is going to take place. Remember all the things you have to be thankful for. Salvation, a loving family, friends, freedom, pets a job (good or bad its still a job) and soooo much more! Tomorrow no matter what disagreement arises. Be thankful for your family and the opportunity to agree/disagree with them. In the end you will all still be family and nothing can change that. We don’t get to take a pick, but that is what makes things so much more interesting! It is the imperfections that make us all so amazing.
So with that said. I wish you all an amazing day. Remember to wear your pants/skirt with the stretchy waistband. Say “Please pass the gravy”. Don’t wear a top with bell sleeves. (take my advice. They will end up in the gravy!! He he). Save room for dessert! Take a moment to look around at the peaceful/chaos and be thankful!!
Big hugs and blessings to you!

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. And no there are no sales worthy of dragging me out at those insane hours. I'll be hiding behind my computer, shopping on line this year. :)
