Merry Christmas to all of my wonderful family, friends and readers. Sorry I have been away for so long but I was carried away by the season and work. I hope this post finds you all well and prepared for the holiday tomorrow! We are hosting Christmas so there is still much more to do in preparation for the big day tomorrow. I have more cookies and breads to bake, sides to prepare, finishing touches on decorating and dinner at my moms this evening. I am sure I am not the only one who feels a little stretched this time of year. I hope you all have wonderful parties, time with your loved ones and a relaxing time off from work. Christmas has become quite commercialized ,but remember Jesus is the reason for this season. If not the day would simply be called "Gift Day" he he.God bless!!

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” -Luke 2:9-14
That's right! CHRISTmas is about the Lord and Savior, Jesus CHRIST. Sad how our society is slowly sweeping that out of this holiday season and turning it into a meaningless, secular day filled with commercialism.
ReplyDeleteMay we continually fill this season with Christ in our lives.
Merry Christmas, Vanessa!
Amen Trish! Merry Christmas :)

Hi Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteI put my first post up since Christmas, so I haven't been around much. Hope you had a nice holiday. I still need to get my decorations boxed up and organized properly, what a job!
